Privacy Policy
Elizaveta Klimova (Zürich, Switzerland) operates https://www.elizavetaklimova.com. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and what rights you have over it under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nDSG).
Who is responsible
Elizaveta Klimova is the data controller for this website. For any question about this policy or your data, write to inspire@liveartfully.ch. Full identification details are in the Legal Notice.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone, under any circumstances. We do not run advertising or ad re-targeting, and we do not build cross-site profiles of visitors. Data collected here stays here.
Data you provide directly
When you send a commission or purchase enquiry through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message, plus — where relevant — which project type or artwork you're enquiring about. We use this exclusively to reply to you and, if it leads somewhere, to manage that commission or sale. It is stored in our content platform (Sanity.io) and sent as an email to our inbox via our transactional email provider (Resend); see Who processes data on our behalf below.
Submitting the form requires your explicit consent, given via the checkbox on the form itself. You may withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to delete your enquiry — see Your rights.
Data collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some technical data automatically as you browse:
- Usage analytics — pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, and on-page interactions such as scrolling and clicks. We use this in aggregate to understand what's working and to improve the site — never to identify you personally. See Analytics providers below.
- IP address, processed transiently and briefly in server memory to throttle abusive form submissions (rate limiting). It is never written to a database, logged long-term, or shared with anyone.
Analytics providers
We use two third-party services to understand how the site is used. Neither is used for advertising.
- Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and anonymised session recordings. Clarity is configured to mask the contents of every form field (name, email, message are never captured), and by default it runs in a cookie-less, aggregate-only mode. It only starts using cookies to distinguish return visits once you've acknowledged the notice shown on this site; until then, it stays in the anonymous, cookie-less mode. Data is processed by Microsoft Corporation (USA), certified under the Swiss–U.S. and EU–U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
- Vercel Web Analytics — aggregated page-view and performance metrics. It is cookie-less by design and does not track individual visitors across sessions or sites. Data is processed by Vercel Inc. (USA), certified under the Swiss–U.S. and EU–U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Cookies
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. A brief notice on your first visit tells you this; continuing to browse the site after it's shown constitutes agreement to the use described in it, consistent with Swiss law's treatment of low-risk analytics cookies. We store an acknowledgement flag in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so we don't show the notice again. The only cookies that can be set are Microsoft Clarity's — see Analytics providers above.
Who processes data on our behalf
We use a small number of service providers to run this site. Each acts as our data processor, is bound to use data only on our instructions, and may process data outside Switzerland or the EEA — chiefly in the United States, safeguarded by their respective Data Privacy Framework certifications and/or standard contractual clauses. We do not use any provider beyond those listed here.
- Sanity.io (USA) — stores enquiry records and the site's content.
- Resend (USA) — delivers the enquiry notification email to our inbox. Certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- Vercel Inc. (USA) — hosts the website.
- Microsoft Corporation (USA) — provides Clarity analytics, as above.
How long we keep data
Enquiry records are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and manage any resulting commission or sale, and are deleted on request thereafter. Aggregated analytics data is retained by our analytics providers under their own retention schedules — see the links above. Rate-limiting data is discarded automatically within minutes.
Your rights
Under the Swiss FADP (and the GDPR, if it applies to you), you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you;
- correct data that is inaccurate;
- delete data we no longer need to keep;
- object to how we're using your data, or withdraw consent you previously gave.
To exercise any of these, email inspire@liveartfully.ch. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at edoeb.admin.ch.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or why changes. The date at the bottom always reflects the latest version.
